So beautiful - congrats Coleen. Can I also share that I respectfully disagree with what Vimeo shared about the video - I think the storyline is deeply meaningful and says so much (in whimsical and creative ways rather than being overly didactic) about the visceral connections we have with specific dishes + food. And how food is the connective tissue that carries embodied memories shared across generations - you were able to create something that captures this in ways that don't feel prescriptive or banal <3
Thank you so much Crystal! And yes please feel free to express your opinions :) It was Short of the Week, by the way, not Vimeo, that reviewed the short—they happen to curate a channel on Vimeo. I love the way you articulated your thoughts around the film. It's striking how art can mean such different things to folks, and I deeply appreciate that Chamoe has resonated with as many as it has.
So happy for you, for all the process that you were strong enough to go through!! Resulting in a truly beautiful and emotional final piece✨✨✨. I'd like the doe desktop please
This is so awesome to see and read - I'm glad I subscribed :)
I'd love the bear background, it's the cutest !
The polar bear one is definitely my favorite book mark / background! Lovey film, I really enjoyed the animation style and narration. 🐻❄️
